In Flanders, the gastronomy is rich and varied. Dishes are based on recipes transmitted from mother to daughter. Sweet and savoury traditional dishes are full of flavour : pot'je vleesch, a mix of 3 different white meats, carbonade flamande flavoured with beer, cassonade (soft brown sugar), hard cheeses, waffles and sugar tarts. The flavoursome beers and local apple juice will go perfectly with the dishes. |
